Spring Purse Picks!

I’m really into blush and nude/light tan purses right now….so here is my round up of the best ones just in time for spring!

Marc Jacobs – Too Hot To Handle Bentley Leather Tote

Color: Cement

Price: $498

I shouldn’t love this bag, but I do! The color is that perfect mix of blush/nude, and it’s just all around a great tote. It’s big enough to hold anything you might need, and has the attachment for a side-banger strap, which I love. Life is better with side bangers.

Kate Spade – Holden Street Olivera

Color: Pebble

Price: $378

This is the perfect purse to get for business purposes. I have always wanted a light colored briefcase-esque bag that looks professional but can also be an everyday purse. I think this does the trick. I love this bag in the nude pebble color, however you could always get it in black or red if that is more your style.

Forever 21 – Unstructured Faux Leather Tote

Color: Taupe

Price: $24.90

This is a much more wallet-friendly option. If you like the idea of the light tan/blush purses, however don’t want to invest $300+ …this is the purse for you! It is always a good idea to check out places like Forever 21 or Aldo for cheaper purses. They always have ones that look relatively similar to the higher end brands, but for very affordable options.

Tory Burch – Marion Slouchy Tote

Color: Light Oak

Price: $595

This bag is a gorgeous blush color. It is definitely a spring bag. I love all things Tory Burch, so this had to be added to the list! You can never go wrong with a little TB. This bag is at the slightly higher end of the price range, however it is well worth the investment.

I’ve recently been looking online for a new dress to wear to a wedding in Florida. What better place to start than Lilly Pulitzer? Their dresses are always fun and summery, perfect for beach weddings. I stumbled across this wrap/cape scenario and I think it is a must have! Throw it on with jeans or white jeans and you immediately look classy and put together. AND it looks super comfy. Win-Win. So what do you think?? Is this not the cutest wrap ever!!

Time For A Mini Hipster Shoe Sesh!

IMG_3669

I recently bought some Vans. It was a weird day in my life. I have always been a prepster who was strictly opposed to Vans. They were so hipster..so skater..so not me. But as I have been living in the mountains, I have become more intrigued by them. Everyone up here seems to wear them, so they must be comfy right? I vowed never to try them out…until one day I stumbled upon these bad boys: Vans Chevron Slip Ons. Obviously..I had to have them. I mean they were chevron print!! If there was ever going to be a time that I gave in to this hipster-skater trend, this was the time. So I bought them. And they are very comfy (for the 5 minutes I tried them on). I haven’t actually worn them yet, but once fall gets here, I am going to incorporate them into my wardrobe (but only when I’m feeling a hipster vibe).

Here are some other “Vans”-esque shoes I found…supposedly they are in right now. Designers like Givinchy have even made some! Who would have thought…

So browse the links below and see what you think! (Vans seems to be the only company that has done the chevron print, but leopard is ALL over the place!)

Mani Monday: Essie Sand Tropez

One of my favorite nude nail polishes is Essie: Sand Tropez. Everyone should have this in their nail polish collection. It’s a great color for any season. I especially love it for special occasions where you don’t want a crazy nail color, or for the upcoming fall season. Wear it with a black turtleneck sweater and crisp jeans and some serious gold jewelry. It’s understated yet always in fashion. When in doubt…go nude.

#Obsessed

I am SO excited for fall. Totally over this summer weather. The other day it was 35 degrees up here in the mountains, so fall is definitely on it’s way! In honor of the upcoming season change….here is my current obsession:

Emerson Ankle Boots from Free People

Not Your Daughter’s Jeans (NYDJ) are unreal. I had heard of the brand for a while, but thought – as the name states – that they were more for moms. And then I was at Nordstrom Rack…and boom! There were a lot of the Not Your Daughter’s Jeans on the racks. I had just recently heard from my mom that my aunt raved about her NYDJ and said my mom HAD to try them. So I thought, why not. I’ll give them a try. I needed a new pair of jeans. I tried them on, and was so shocked. I have gained about 20 pounds in the last few months, and jeans/pants were just in general not looking good. But the NYDJ jeans looked great on me! Theyslimmed my stomach, and got rid of my love handles! They come up higher than normal jeans(around my belly button) but it’s perfect because then you don’t have the love handles popping out. They also have a hint of stretch, which makes them comfy and slightly more forgiving. I was shocked and very happy. It sounds corny, but my new NYDJ really helped my self confidence. I’ve slowly been working on loosing the weight I gained, but I am happy to know that I have a pair of jeans I feel comfortable wearing until that happens.

Not Your Daughter’s Jeans are sold at many major department stores. If they are too pricy for you, check out Nordstrom Rack. I got mine at a very good price!

So what do you think? Are you a fan of Not Your Daughter’s Jeans?! Let me know!

#Obsessed

Lately, I’ve been super obsessed with gold rings. I’ve been seeing this “midi ring” trend, but had not gotten to a store to try it out for myself. Well, I finally ended up on a shopping spree this past weekend – and found the best midi rings! I decided  I HAD to buy some. After all, I had been admiring them on Instagram for a while. So here it is…my new favorite trend! #midirings ..What do you think??

IMG_1935

So as you can see, I actually wore some of the midi rings as actual rings. The ring on my pinky is a midi ring, but fit my pinky as a real ring as well. The one on my ring finger also fits on the middle and pointer finger, and sits higher on those. The ring on my middle finger is a Kendall&Kylie for Nordstrom ring that my sister gave me last year. It has a chain that connects the bottom to the top. It’s pretty cool in a hipster way. Basically, midi rings are the perfect solution if you want to wear a lot of rings because the sizing can fit on any finger, it just depends what look you want!

The three midi rings in the picture were all purchased at Nordstrom – they range from $6 to $8, and were sitting in decorative bowls on the checkout stations.

What do you think about this ring trend?? xoxo

Spring Is (Almost) Here!!

Today, a glorious thing happened up here in the mountains…..it rained!!! This is HUGE! It means spring it almost here! Since it snowed just a few days ago, I have not had much hope for spring being here anytime soon. But then today it rained, and my hope was restored!! So in honor of the spring weather that will show up within the next month (*fingers crossed*), here is my fashion find for the day.

It’s called the “Sauvati Washed Linen Crochet Poncho” and it is from Calypso St. Barth! I love love love this. It’s so casual-cool, perfect for spring and summer. This is definitely something I will need when I go on a beach vacation (I better plan one stat!). It seems so light and airy, it would be a good thing to always have with you in case you need to throw something on as it gets cooler as the sun goes down up here in the mountains.

This poncho costs $275, but if you buy it right now, they are having a promo code for friends and family thats 25% off! Go to their website to check it out:

What do you think? Is this not the most perfect poncho/shirt you have ever seen?!?! Let me know!

An Ode to Yoga Pants

Do you ever have those days when you just don’t want to go to work? When you can’t get out of bed and you snooze your alarm for 30 minutes, until you finally have to jump up and throw something on to make it on time? Well that was me today. But lucky for me, I work at a ski resort, where there isn’t a dress code. Yes, there is a slight dress code depending on what department you work in. But lucky for me, I have a great boss and co-workers, and a hidden desk job where no customers have to see me. Which means – no dress code! This gives me the freedom on days like today, when I couldn’t get out of bed until 20 minutes before I was supposed to be at work, to throw on yoga pants. YOGA PANTS!! In any normal corporate job, this would NOT be okay. But somehow I have found the only job that utilizes my college business degree skills, while still giving me the freedom to dress how I would like. So fine, I might not make as much as an investment banker in NYC, but at least I get to be comfy while compiling my reports. (Today I literally sat in a 4 hour long meeting, wearing a tshirt, fleece, yoga pants, and socks. No shoes. Just socks. Because how I am going to sit cross-legged in my chair if i have shoes on? It’s not possible. And who likes to be uncomfortable in a 4 hour long meeting?? Not me!) No heels required, no suits required, no makeup required. Let’s be real – not even shoes are technically required. When I sit back and think about my options, I realize I actually have it pretty good.

style_114_yoga_pants-_black

So today this post is dedicated to yoga pants. May you continue to be part of my dress code. And may others one day get to wear you as part of theirs.

xoxo ❤

Fab Find!

Last fall I was vacationing in the Hampton’s (legit, I know), and found the most fabulous shirt at Lilly Pulitzer. It was dark pink and had gold buttons and I just loved it. I bought it on the spot, and wore it with jeans and riding boots in the fall. It was flowy, breezy, and perfect. Well…Lilly’s newest release of spring clothes has unleashed a surprise too good to be true — my favorite shirt, but in summer colors!!!

c4b8ee05833e4db83bd18a5b4330b247

I was SO excited. It’s definitely a must have. Not only does it incorporate my favorite things (bright colors, flowing fabric), but it is the perfect go to for spring AND summer! You can pair it with dark jeans if it’s a colder spring day, and then transition it to summer with white jeans (as the pic shows), or wear it with white shorts and a cute bedazzled sandal. The options are endless!! Throw on some gold bangles rocked with a perfect tan, and you are good to go!

Here is the link to purchase this shirt – Elsa Top – A Delicacy It’s $158 and comes in multiple colors. So if pink/blue/green isn’t for you, try this one Elsa Top – Ring the Bellboy . Or this one Elsa Top – I Got Lucky . There are 11 different printed tops (browse Lilly Pulitzer’s website), as well as a few that are solid colors (like my pink fall shirt).

What are some of your favorite go-to tops??

xoxo ❤
